The Half-Life/Half-Life 2 series and all it's mods for the most part.
Far Cry (awesome)
Doom 3/Quake IV & the Doom/Quake series as a whole.
Battlefield 2 (once you get passed it's few bugs)
Halo (for PC)
Those are the ones I play most often.

As I say: Always the best for the forum junkies. If you wanna try something really out there and kind of retro, try out Decent. It's a FPS/Flight sim. VERY fun.

If you're into realism, try America's Army. Since it's funded (and developed) by the Army, it's very realistic. Also a lot of fun - biggest problem with it is the speed of the game. Since the maps are huge and movement speed is realistic (slower than in most other FPSes games), rounds take forever, and if you die early in the round, you could be waiting for 3-4 minutes. Doesn't sound like very long, but it gets boring if for every 2 minutes you're playing you spend 4 dead.

Call Of Duty 2, AKA Attack Of The Jaggies *unless you're playing it on a PC*.
COD2 is okay.. Not as good as the first one, and it's STILL WWII (way too many WWII shooters out there), but it's still a good time waster.

Call of Duty series, the multiplayer is AWESOME.
Half-Life 2...after seeing this game, it just totally sucked the spice out of the original.
Halo is nice, the demo was pretty fun.
that's about it. i don't remember any other games i've played on PC that rocked my world......

Day of Defeat
A world war two arcade style shooter, no tanks, no giant maps. It's counter-strike meets World War II. Best game out there, only problem is my computer now has a virus, my father won't let me reinstall my computer so now i can't play any first person shooter games because of the lag.

UT2K3 was soo buggy, UT2K4 was nice and fast loading...
UT is nice for that Unrealism
F.E.A.R is real good; reminds me of 007 games from n64.
I'm not that heavy into FPS, but Counter Strike is ok for missions
UT was good for massive killing fast pace, holding points, capturing flags...
Doom3 and Quake4 not a great system of controls, looks like the same game.
Final Doom had a LAN feature; or somthing another...
